Privacy notice

Last updated 22 August 2026

The short version. If you register your interest on this site, we keep your email address (and your camp name and size, if you gave them) so we can email you when CampChief opens up. We don't sell it, share it for marketing, or send you anything else. Ask us to delete it and we will, the same day.

Who we are

CampChief.app (“CampChief”, “we”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

What this notice covers

This notice covers campchief.app while the site is a holding page — that is, the register-your-interest form and nothing else. It does not cover the CampChief platform itself. When camps start using the platform, that will have its own privacy notice and a separate data processing agreement, because there we handle information about participants on a camp's behalf rather than our own.

What we collect, and why

WhatWhyRequired?
Email addressTo email you when CampChief is availableYes
Camp nameTo know who we're talking to, and reply sensiblyNo
Approximate camp sizeTo understand what kind of camps are interestedNo
Submission detailsDate, time and IP address, recorded automatically by our form provider to catch spamAutomatic

That is the entire list. We don't ask for anything about young people or volunteers on this site, and you shouldn't send any — if you need to discuss something specific, email us instead of using the form.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR). You give it by submitting the form, having read the line above the button. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it doesn't affect anything we did while it was valid.

Who else handles it

Nobody else. We do not sell your details, pass them to other camps, or add you to any third-party marketing list.

How long we keep it

Until CampChief opens and we've contacted you, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. If the product hasn't launched within 18 months of you registering, we'll delete your details and you'd need to register again. Our form provider keeps its own copy of submissions for 30 days.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no advertising or social media trackers. There is nothing here to consent to, which is why you weren't asked.

One thing worth being straight about: our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see your IP address when a page loads. Nothing else about your visit is shared, and no cookie is set.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

Email [email protected] and we'll act within a month, usually the same day — the list is short and we are not a large organisation.

Complaints

If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we still hold your details, we'll email you about it.
